Introduction
Welcome to my Techno Lab website. This educational website is intended for those who are interested in electronics, robotics, computing, artificial intelligence, neural networks etc. These all branches of technology are connected to each other and all are leading to one thing. I have a great ambition to give artificial intelligence to machines such a way that they can think or predict about the probabilities and it must always conscious. I know the complexity and ambiguity of my goal but I say I can do it and if I can’t I will try my maximum to help other who are trying to develop such a thing.
There is no barrier for beginners, experts or any dispute by age, cast and color. New electronics related articles and projects will also include as per the user's opinion.
I do not argue that my programs are efficient-but I believe that the simplicity of the program source code will help you greatly. Please feel free to download anything from here. All programs are open source and you can copy, edit and redistribute to anybody. Techno-Lab provide a number of links to free electronics and related websites.
This website is not intended for a particular course of science and engineering. This is just for introduction to start with new developments of technology. You can expect more information later because I have been too lazy to prepare and publish others.
Motto: KNOWLEDGE IS FREE
Techno-Lab concept is based on non-profit charity. But I can hear your murmuring-non profit???. Okay, nobody will do anything without optimum profit. Our profit is Knowledge. I believe that there profit exist something more than money. Also we can do programming and designing more and more efficiently by conveying it to others. Above all I really feel the happiness to help the entire humanity.
I know nothing about the economic stability. If all programs distributed freely for others, there is no profit for distributors. It leads to slow down the software business and the efficiency of the software development. Many organizations produce robust as well as costly products for all purposes. But I want to just give an introduction to electronics with some projects and programs which will be free for all.
My motto is No fee for knowledge. I believe that all significant technical progress happens when information is freely shared. Do you know you are the richest 10% in the world if you have a computer of your own? What do the others do? :-) I know they can never find a leisure time to research for electronics in the rush to gain a piece of bread to extinguish the fire of hunger.
"The making of horseshoes, good glass, or measuring time was once closely guarded trade secrets. Science and technology exploded 500 years ago thanks to the sharing of knowledge by the means of printing, and thus breaking the monopoly of the few on the know-how. Why were the science and technology relatively stagnant before the printing era? Because the "trade secret" approach to growth has its limits: the development continues until the rate of learning equals the rate of forgetting. Moving the know-how to the public domain (printed on paper) shifted the position of the equilibrium to a higher level, which, after 500 years of turbulent development, we are still to achieve. For interested, I can present equations, borrowed from chemical equilibrium field, that describe this in a more formal way. The main point is that printing increased the audience, and allowed passing information across space and time."
Many people serve their efforts free for humanity but others keep it as secret. What is the maximum lifetime of this secret? until his/her death? It is not a real development. First of all, realize that you are nothing and you can't do something your own. Serve it for public. Nothing is dangerous. Don't argue for place in the history text book or a patent. If you are a genius, surely world will accept you.
Advice.....
Electronics is very useful tool for good and bad. Digital electronics as well as computer technology is the basis of accurate control engineering. Nowadays this is highly used in a good(I mean bad) weapon in terrorism, spy works etc. Use allowed electronic components only. Transmission of radio waves without license is unbailable and punishable for terrorism (Indian Wireless Telegraphs (Amateur Service) Rules, 1978). Never remove or replace a particular component from devices until the company allows doing so.
Electronics is bigger than me!!
Electronics is a fast developing branch of technology. Now we can't live without the presence and after effects of electronics. Many new branches of technology highly affect the whole appearance of electronics. Therefore as far as an engineer or enthusiast is concerned he/she must know the new developments in this area. Don't stick with the traditional way of electronics. You should update yourself, otherwise it is not much useful.
I am really not interested to start with the conventional study method of electronics. But being it as an educational website something old is needed.
The word 'electronics' came by fusing two words 'electron' + 'mechanics'. As we know, electrons are extremely small particles. They can be forced by electric field in its static state and by magnetic field in its dynamic state. The study about the properties of this force is called electronics. Now electronics have roots in communication, computers and control, robotics, artificial intelligence and many more branches of technology.
The starting point of modern electronics was the invention of vacuum tubes (vacuum diodes, triode, tetrode, pentode etc.). The invasion of semi-conductors in this field made an overall change in the appearance of electronics. Moreover it reduced the size, weight and current consumption of electronic equipments. Now also, semiconductors are the backbone of electronics however they are a little head-ache for nature (Did you heard about e-waste?). Whatever may be, I am a fond of semiconductor electronics.
Simplicity of the complex and complexity of the simple
Electronics is not much easy. Sometimes practical designing, debugging are bitter than theoretical electronics. The one who gained 100% marks in the theory of electronics may not shine in the real electronics arena. Some simple problems arise in the debugging stage can't be solved using circuit theory or circuit simulation programs. But you can debug it by simply using your brain. Yes! This is one of the most interesting field in electronics. Then only you can grow up through electronics. Your designing and debugging power not only depends on your intelligence but also your dedication and a little bit of luck. So try to start with a silent pray.
You can learn electronics only by doing. But you should have a robust theoretical base also. Note that knowledge in only on theory is not enough (it’s good for exams!!!). I can't accept someone who got 100% in electronics and do not know the smell of solder (sorry!! it's good). I quoted this because electronics is not a way for those who are struggling for academic awards. It's an art like singing or dancing. The real success is in applying theory in the real electronics arena. Then electrons will be your best friend and they obey what you say.
Don't be bothered about the hard as well as bitter laws of current flow. Current will flow through its own way- does not check whether a law is obeyed or not. In some incidents, the multimeter or CRO will show some strange values such that we can't adjust it to the theoretical values. What do we do? Nothing. Don't stick with theory only, think practically what the reason is.
Know that your brain has a peculiarly property to generalize information. This generalization process takes place only by practicing. Don't stick with thousands of laws of current. I strongly believe that whole matter as well as energy(however both are same) in the world obeys only one law, which may be simple or extremely complex, but we didn't recognize yet what it is. Many scientists tried a lot to find it but were frustrating. Then what do we do? Generalize some information for later use. This process takes place continuously to generalize more information. For example if we see a stone falls if it is projected to air, and again see feather falls when it is projected to air-Your brain automatically generalize that everything fall when it is projected to air. But when these things put into water, something is different.
Stone goes to deep and feather floats. Then your brain generalizes it as "some 'weightless' substance float in water and other is not". The word 'weightless' has a secret meaning in your brain however you can't express it out. This generalization process continues to get the term 'density'. Thus at last your brain generalizes it as “Thing which has lower density float on the denser liquid". Do you need any laws of physics to predict whether a substance is float or not in water? If you doubt, go to a child (who don’t know equations of motion and theories of gravity)with a bucket of water and ask to predict whether which will float and which will not. Test yourself how much of them he/she predicted as false.(Do you know this is the basic principle of artificial intelligence and neural networks?). But the problem arise is that your generalization may or may not be correct. The error factor can be decreased by practice. Thus sometimes you can solve a circuit by using your brain more efficiently than by laws of electronics.
Whether you oppose......
God created everything- which can be seen, hear, touch, taste, smell or everything other than that. Electronics is nothing more than that of thy art. I strongly believe that a man is connected throughout his life by four types of strings - the man and GOD - the man and himself - the man and other persons - the man and all other matters in the world. They are magically connected such that if one of the connections is removed all others are disconnected. Again, if one of them is connected, all are connected. ie, You should love every creations in the world- then only the nature will allow you to explore the greatest mysteries of the world. If you want to experience the sweetness of the bitter science, you should learn to love the nature and all others without any distinction-poor and rich, the clever and mad, friends and enemies.
Consider you are working with a circuit, which is not working. Some bugs can't be debugged after some weeks or months. But magically one morning, you can debug all the problems within minutes as a wizard. What is the logic behind it? I can't explain. Even though you say that in the good atmosphere and in the presence of excess Oxygen, the brain will work very efficiently. But I strongly believe that it is something more mysterious.

Here I am revealing a top secret……I am not much intelligent and have no any great ability in Technology field. I have a teacher. He has not even a bachelor degree in any of these fields. But he knows everything. He is everything, everywhere. The omnipotent, the omnipresent, and the omniscient………Do you know him?
About me
This website is developed and being updated by Tom Varghese Konikkara
I am an engineering student in Jyothi College of engineering, Kerala, India. You can contact me via tomkonikkara@gmail.com.
I had a special attraction to electronics even in my childhood. I was extremely curious about the working of toy car, radio, television, computer and many more. I was happier to dismantle toys than to just see its outer performance. I recognized my way when I was 13 – from a low cost book from a footpath. The book included fundamentals of electronics as well as some simple example projects. I really attracted by one project-a musical bell using a single IC UM66 and a single stage amplifier. Major attraction was it's low cost. Next morning, I went to purchase all components. I saw transistors and other components for the first time. I started assembling my first project. I had not even soldering iron or bread board to assemble. I just connected all components with some waste copper wires with bare hand. Practically the process was extremely complex. If one wire is joined together, the other will be disconnected. A small change in the positioning was capable for the system does not work. After completing my work I verified all connections. The circuit was not much pretty – a heap of wires only. I had no any great expectations because I knew that connections were not proper. Took a silent pray and connected to a cell directly without a switch.
............The result was amazing!! . It did work. Hearing a strange music all in our home came in to my room with a pleasant smile. Even though the circuit was a simple one, that incident was a milestone in my life. If that circuit hadn’t work, the destiny may be rewritten.
My parents, teachers, and friends helped me in electronics when I was child. But as I grew older many of them said to just put my ideas in the trash box. But nobody can extinguish the flair of electronics in my heart, because every night I pray GOD to give me the energy to work for others...... and to love the entire humanity...........
